Hey I'm trying to make a film in wide screen using a digital camera. It has a widescreen format thing but when put into imovie and on my tv in turns into an anamorphic widescreen. The company says that it works on a wide format TV but i don't have one and it doesn't edit right the way it would look in the end. size=2]HELP!!![/size]

it's the pixel shape - they need to be stretched for viewing. I don't think iMovie does this :-(

but it will look okay on a widescreen telly in the right mode.

anamorphic is preferable to matting on bars because you keep more of your video resolution. The more resolution you can keep, the better.
